Escape Room Associate/Game Master
Escape Camp Picton is looking for an outgoing, enthusiastic performer to play a big role in bringing our unique escape room experience to life!
We are a small, family-run operation that offers competitive wages and a creative and empowering work environment.
- Competitive pay – starts at $18/hour with clear training path to $24/hour
- Flexible hours. Includes weekend and weekday work but no late nights.
- Commitment to a safe work environment with COVID-19 policies that meet or exceed public health guidelines.
- Perks include a gaming allowance to play other escape rooms. Uniforms, refreshments and outdoor work supplies are provided.
The Escape Room Associate plays an important role in bringing our games to life. Most days, the Associate performs the duties of Game Master. You’ll greet guests and give them a game orientation, you’ll monitor, assist and interact with them as they play the game, and you’ll congratulate or console them when they finish the experience. You’ll be responsible for setting up the games before each session, so attention to detail – especially on routine tasks – is essential.
When you’re not Game Mastering, you’ll be engaged in a number of administrative and marketing tasks that keep the business going. This may include creating content for social media and newsletters, fulfilling orders of our play-at-home-game, answering questions from customers through email, social media and telephone, and assisting with research and maintenance projects for new and existing games.
At Escape Camp Picton we recognize and value each staff member’s individual gifts. For the right person, we can customize the role to meet your interests and skill set.
Email us a resume and a note of introduction to firstname.lastname@example.org. Let us know why you’re interested in this position and tell us how you “play” – what’s your favourite board game, video game, or hobby!
Just like the citizen spies that inspire our games, our missions are strengthened by Associates of all genders, races, abilities or sexualities. We welcome and encourage applications from members of equity-deserving groups and will make accommodations as requested during the recruitment and selection process.
