COVID-19 PROTOCOLS

We care about health and safety

We are so excited to play with you at Escape Camp Picton. Let’s stay positive, flexible and patient as we navigate our new normal together!

Here’s our plan:

OUR COMMITMENT TO YOU:

  • ¬†Proof of vaccination is required for all indoor bookings. Proof of vaccination is not required to play our outdoor game.
  • All games are private bookings – you will play only with your group. No-one but your group and the game master(s) will enter the escape room where you are playing.
  • Another group may be in the building at the same time, playing in a separate room. The schedule has been organized in such a way to prevent groups sharing common spaces at the same time (i.e. lobby, hallways etc.)
  • Staff will complete COVID-19 screening daily before reporting to work.
  • Staff are required to wear a mask, face shield or other adequate face covering while in the same room as players, regardless of physical distancing.
  • Staff must use hand sanitizer prior to welcoming players into the facility, prior to entering the escape rooms, and upon each group’s departure, at minimum.
  • All surfaces in the escape room, as well as high-touch areas in the lobby and common areas will be sanitized between game plays. An additional 45 minutes of cleaning time has been allocated between game plays. Duplicate props have been made to ensure that props that cannot be adequately sanitized will be isolated for a period of 24 hours or more.

YOUR COMMITMENT TO US:

  • Bring a flexible, patient and positive attitude. Be ready to have fun! We’re all in this together.
  • Proof of vaccination is required for all indoor bookings. Proof of vaccination is not required to play outdoor games.
  • All players will wear masks, face shields or other adequate face covering while inside the Escape Camp Picton facility – including inside the escape rooms. This is a requirement of Hastings and Prince Edward Public Health.
  • Players will wait outside until the Game Master invites you in for your play.
  • Players must individually complete the COVID-19 screening questionnaire and the Game Play Waiver prior to entering the facility. This will be available online, sent in advance by email and displayed on signage at the front doors.
  • Players who present risks of transmission of COVID-19 will not be permitted in the facility and will be rescheduled to a date at least 14 days in the future or they can convert their purchase to a play-at-home or virtual game.
